Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 8 am–2:30 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. Don’t dare arrive near closing time. We knew they were closing in ten minutes, we wanted a quick coffee on our road trip. The apple cake looked delicious at the counter, and they offered it β€œfor here” on a plate with a fork. There were also ten other patrons in the cafe enjoying their coffees. I thought why not have a seat and eat a slice of cake! At 1:59, the barista announces β€œwe’re closed” to the room. Everyone files out. I am chewing rapidly and scrambling across the room to grab a lid for my drink. She is watching me, I’m clearly trying to move quickly! At 2:02, she is standing over me and says β€œI’m sorry, we are closed. You need to leave.” I have never felt so rushed out and unwelcome. It felt so unnecessary. I understand and respect closing time and had absolutely no intention to stay past the time it takes to chew three bites of apple cake. Also the coffee tastes burnt. Don’t bother.

Cannot believe that we have such a great cafe in Binghamton! It’s very focused on doing one thing perfectly by just serving coffee and some sweet treats like brownies and coffee cake to go along with it! Also it’s not overpriced at all and they roast their own coffee!

After relentless effort, I’ve finally found the best coffee shop in town β€” serving the best cappuccino and macchiato in all of Binghamton. Over the past week, I tried every coffee shop downtown, ordering a cappuccino each time. This place completely blew me away. The perfect cappuccino! The thick, velvety foam is far superior to what you get at other coffee shops. After my first cup, I immediately thought: I’d wake up early every day just for their coffee. On my second visit, I tried the macchiato β€” the acidity was honestly moving 😭 Don’t miss out on this amazing coffee spot!

Stopped here about midway for a long road trip. Ordered a cappuccino and took a bag of beans home. The cappuccino pretty much convinced me to grab a bag on the way out. I should have gotten 2 bags. The coffee was delicious. I tried it in a French press, aero press and even made espresso out of it and they were all amazing. Shoutout to the kind staff for helping out with choosing the beans. They gave me a few tasters and I was able to chose based off of those! Very kind and delicious coffee, winning recipe!

I popped in here for the first time and this is such a lovely, quiet coffee shop making delicious cappuccinos, macchiatos, espressos and more. I noticed a nice selection of teas and bags of coffee beans for purchase as well. The brownie I had was alright but a little dry, I’d probably look for something different on my next visit. Very nice cappuccino though and welcoming staff. They accept card and cash here too.
